Previously titled "It's Love" and "Madame White Snake", this is yet another movie adaptation of the popular old Chinese tale about a scholar who falls in love with a woman, not knowing she is a 1000-year-old serpent who has taken on human form. White Snake (Eva Huang), in the reincarnation of a beautiful lady, falls in love with a young herbalist Xu Xian (Raymond Lam). With help of Green Snake (Charlene Choi), she enters the human world to marry him. However, Fa Hai (Jet Li), a sorcerer from Jin Shan Temple, chances upon her and a fiery battle ensues.
